Limpid is a recently released macOS-native terminal application, developed by nek0der, that focuses on supporting AI coding agents. The terminal leverages the `libghostty` core for its renderer, parser, and shell integration, while providing a native SwiftUI user interface. Key features include a three-pane sidebar for managing tabs, groups, projects, and Git worktrees, allowing developers to keep different repositories, branches, and agent sessions isolated. This structure is specifically designed to facilitate parallel AI sessions, preventing conflicts between an AI agent's operations and a developer's active shell.
Currently in a pre-alpha stage, Limpid is described as usable for daily terminal tasks. It requires macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later and Apple Silicon. The project is open-source under the MIT License, with its latest release being v0.1.1.
